Lifetime Membership Certificates were delivered to Joe Sparling & his wife Debra Ryan in Whitehorse by our Newsletter editor, Ione Christianson. Joe is the son of Gudrun (nee Erickson) & Joe Sparling Sr and is the grandson of John Olaf “Ole” & Kristina Erickson who owned and operated the Regina Hotel in Whitehorse beginning in 1926. In 1977 Joe co-founded AIR NORTH. Both Joe & Debra have been very supportive of the Vancouver Yukoners’ Association by enabling many Yukoners to be able to attend the annual reunions held in the Vancouver area and by suppling tangible items for the events.
